The Vegueros brand was introduced into the market in 1996 and pays tribute to all the farmers who from generation to generation have cultivated tobacco in the Pinar de Rio region of Cuba. It is tradition in the “Vuelta Abajo” zone for vegueros (farmers) to make their own cigars. Reflecting their origin these are balanced, medium to full strength cigars with a rich flavour and plenty of spice and pepper.

The brand is made at the “Francisco Donatier” factory located in Pinar de Rio. It was originally built in 1868 and was a hospital and prison before being converted into a cigar factory in 1961. This iconic location adds another layer of character and heritage to the brand.

Featuring a distinctive green and white label all Vegueros cigars are rolled with a blend of filler and binder tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo zone, characterised by their intense and complex taste. The whole range is composed of ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade cigars
