Cob plug pipe tobacco is the plug version of Samuel Gawith 1792 flake. This is a blend of dark fired Tanzanian Virginia and dark fired Kentucky leaf topped with a distinctive Tonquin bean essence. The dark fired Kentucky provides the spicy, woody and smoky base which is complimented by the tangy, fruity Virginias. The top note of sweet herbs and vanilla is provided by the Tonquin which balances the robust tobacco flavours preventing it from becoming harsh.  This is a full-strength tobacco which will satisfy the most demanding of palates. This tobacco burns cool, clean and slow no matter how you prepare it.

Whichever method you use to prepare the plug is a question of personal preference but the tobacco is best packed lightly to prevent any draw problems as flake tobacco tends to expand more so than ready rubbed tobaccos. To fully appreciate the flavour and taste we recommend it is best smoked at a slow pace.
