The Aran series of pipes was first launched by Peterson in 1965 and was recently extended with the introduction of the Aran Rustic series. The range was inspired by and named after a group of Islands, the Aran Islands, which are located just off the coast of Galway Bay, Ireland. The rugged beauty of the islands is reflected in the simple yet stylish, earthy medium walnut stain which is applied by hand to the rusticated bowls. The Peterson 127 Aran Rustic pipe is a bent pipe with a Danish style medium sized bent Dublin bowl. The Peterson 127 briar pipe is finished with a jet black vulcanite stem with a fishtail mouth piece. The fishtail mouthpiece directs smoke to the back of the palate and creates a smooth and easy draw. Compact, elegant, stylish and comfortable in the hand the half bent stem ensures the bowl sits away from the face.
