The pipes all are finished with a vulcanite stem and fishtail mouth piece which directs smoke to the back of the palate and creates a smooth and easy draw. The 120 is a straight pipe with a classic Dublin bowl. This is a robust pipe with a generous fire hole, medium to thick bowl wall which provides a cool smoke and a tall bowl with allows the pipe to sit comfortably in the hand.
The Aran series of pipes was first launched by Peterson in 1965. The range was inspired by and named after a group of Islands, the Aran Islands, which are located just off the coast of Galway Bay, Ireland. The natural beauty of the islands is reflected in the simple yet stylish, warm medium walnut stain which is applied by hand. The Peterson Aran 120 Smooth briar pipe is finished with a jet black vulcanite stem and fishtail mouth piece.
