The Aran series of pipes was first launched by Peterson in 1965. The range was inspired by and named after a group of Islands, the Aran Islands, which are located just off the coast of Galway Bay, Ireland. The natural beauty of the islands is reflected in the simple yet stylish, hand applied warm medium walnut stain. The Peterson Aran 15 Smooth briar pipe is finished with a jet black vulcanite stem and fishtail mouthpiece. The fishtail mouthpiece directs smoke to the back of the palate and creates a smooth and easy draw. The Peterson Aran 15 is a straight pipe with a medium Billiard bowl. The tall bowl allows the fingers to wrap comfortably around this light and elegant vintage style pipe.
