The Aran series of pipes was first launched by Peterson in 1965. The range was inspired by and named after a group of Islands, the Aran Islands, which are located just off the coast of Galway Bay, Ireland. The natural beauty of the islands is reflected in the simple yet stylish, warm medium walnut stain which is applied by hand. The Peterson Aran 268 Smooth briar pipe is finished with a jet black vulcanite stem and fishtail mouth piece. The fishtail mouthpiece directs smoke to the back of the palate and creates a smooth and easy draw.  The Peterson Aran 268 is Petersons take on the classic Zulu shape with a 1/8 bend and a forward canted Dublin bowl. Elegant, stylish and comfortable in the hand this is a wonderful pipe.
