Peterson Irish Cask (Irish Oak) Pipe Tobacco is a blend of Virginia, Black Cavendish, Burley with a pinch of Black Perique from Louisiana Bayou. The leaf is aged in sherry oak barrels which adds to the rich notes of raisin and spice from the Perique: the woody and nutty notes of the Burley and the smooth doughy notes of the Virginia to produce a complex smooth smoke. Mild to medium in terms of its strength and nicotine content it is a rich, flavourful and satisfying smoke.

Peterson Irish Cask (Irish Oak) Pipe Tobacco is ribbon cut and is slightly moist to the touch but should not require any additional preparation or drying before loading into the pipe bowl.

To fully appreciate the flavour and taste we recommend that the mixture is smoked at a slow pace to prevent the tobacco burning hot which will impair the taste and aroma, cause the pipe to overheat and potentially causing the dreaded tongue bite.
