Peterson Sherlock Holmes Pipe Tobacco is produced from an old Irish recipe dating back to 1889. This blend is made up the finest Virginia leaf from around the world. Notes of natural sweet tangy dark fruit, light pepper, spice, wood and hay blend to form a complex background to the wonderful tobacco flavours of the Virginia leaf. Mild to medium in terms of its strength, flavour and nicotine content it will appeal to those who like to smoke a straight Virginia tobacco.

Sherlock Holmes Pipe Tobacco is ribbon cut and is slightly moist to the touch but should not require any additional preparation or drying before loading into the pipe bowl.

To fully appreciate the flavour and taste we recommend that the mixture is smoked at a slow pace to prevent the tobacco burning hot which will impair the taste and aroma, cause the pipe to overheat and potentially causing the dreaded tongue bite.
