Peterson Standard Mixture Pipe Tobacco is a ribbon cut mixture of toasted Virginia, Oriental and Latakia tobaccos blended to the original Dunhill recipe. The toasted Virginia add a sweet vanilla note to the spicy Oriental and background woody/peaty notes of the lightly added premium Latakia. The balance of the blend allows the individual characteristics of the component tobaccos to shine. Mild to medium in terms of its strength and nicotine content the blend is smooth, woody and smoky without being overpowering.

Presented in a 50g tin Peterson Standard Mixture Pipe Tobacco is ribbon cut and is slightly moist to the touch but should not require any additional preparation or drying before loading into the pipe bowl.

To fully appreciate the flavour and taste of Standard Mixture we recommend that the mixture is smoked at a slow pace to prevent the tobacco burning hot which will impair the taste and aroma, cause the pipe to overheat and potentially causing the dreaded tongue bite.
