The Ramon Allones Gigantes is a 7 5/8″ by 49 ring gauge, premium, hand rolled Cuban cigar. To make this vitola, the wrapper and filler tobacco leaves, from the Vuelta Abajo, in the Pinar del Río region, are meticulously selected and then aged for a minimum of two years before being rolled “Totalmente a Mano”. It delivers a full-bodied complex smoke, as one would expect from a Ramón Allones, from which emanate spicy earthy notes with coffee and dried fruit aromas. It is a relatively powerful cigar which is considered by many to be one of the worlds finest Double Corona cigars.

RAMÓN ALLONES – THE BRAND

Ramón Allones is one of the big names in the long history of Havanas. Founded in 1837, it is also one of the oldest brands still in production. A Galician by birth Ramón Allones was the first cigar manufacturer to pack his cigars in boxes
decorated with labels and stamped with his brand’s emblem. He was the pioneer of the packaging tradition that we know today.

Hunters & Frankau owned the Ramón Allones factory in Havana and the worldwide rights between 1911 and 1927. Perhaps one of the reasons it has long been a much loved brand in the UK.
