Robert McConnell Oriental Pipe Tobacco is blend of Virginia, Black Cavendish, Latakia, Oriental, and Perique leaf with no added flavouring. The Oriental tobacco’s take centre stage with rich aromatic notes of earth, herbs and spice. The Virginia and Black Cavendish provide a soft, creamy and slightly sweet base. The Perique adds rich notes of fig and raisin whilst the lightly added Latakia balances the blend with its rich peaty notes. Perfectly blended with a soft and rich flavour which is true to the original 1848 recipe. Mild to medium in terms of its strength and nicotine content it is one of the finest tobaccos on the market.

Presented in a 50g tin Robert McConnell Oriental Mixture Pipe Tobacco is a ribbon cut tobacco which tends to be on the moist side and will generally benefit from leaving the tin open for half an hour or so to let it dry a little.

To fully appreciate the flavour and taste we recommend that the mixture is smoked at a slow pace to prevent the tobacco burning hot which will impair the taste and aroma, cause the pipe to overheat and potentially causing the dreaded tongue bite.
